INITIAL ARCANA CONVERSATIONS: LOVERS

What their conversation space looks like: A wide, open pink space with a black-and-white checkerboard tiled floor. Swirls of white, gold, and red drift along the air currents. The scent of chocolate and sugar is in the air, as well as the sense that one’s breathing something intoxicating whenever one breathes in. There’s the slightest hint of champagne on the tongue.
Above, suspended in the air, are floating bubbles of various sizes, some of which are glowing. If someone can let go of their attachment to gravity enough to get closer to them, they’ll see that inside are images or recordings of various Travelers in dramatic moments--especially ones that involve romance. It’s like a curated collection of The Best Of moments for all of the present round of Synodiporia.
Back on the ground, there’s a loveseat with gilded wood and pink and red upholstery. To one side of it is a white easel upon which rests a portrait painted of two Psyches in pretty dresses--one in white and one in black--flanking a heart, with white ribbons forming a border around the whole scene. To the other side is a table made of wrought iron enameled in white, with a radial design of hearts forming the surface. On it is a flute of bubbly pink champagne.
What can you expect from Arcana Chats: Psyche is super-duper friendly. She’s upbeat, positive, bubbly… and has trouble with understanding that mortals are people too. She loves you--well, most of you--but it’s in the way you might love the characters on your favorite TV show. One of the reasons why Synodiporia is her favorite game is that it’s also her favorite soap opera. And given that she’s the Arcana of love and relationships, it’s unsurprising that she’s also a giant shipper when it comes to Traveler relationships. If a Traveler who’s visiting her is in a relationship, expect her to gush about that relationship. Expect her to flirt with you too. It’s about as reflexive as breathing. She is totally down to gossip about her fellow Arcana and if you can get her talking on the right subject, it’s possible to learn a fairly decent amount from her--although it’s definitely biased in her favor. If asked about her plan for if she wins Synodiporia, she’ll admit that she plans to build a comfortable world for all the Travelers to live peacefully together--because it would be just too sad to separate them from all their new friends and lovers.
There’s an almost-invisible seam bisecting her physical form and she can split apart into two Psyches at will. When apart, one of them is male and the other is female. Together, she’s a non-binary individual, although she defaults to female pronouns as a matter of course. Her usual manifestation is of a dark-skinned woman of African descent with a pompadour and she dresses in a lot of tailored suits or tuxedos.Any resemblance to Janelle Monae is entirely on purpose on Psyche’s part.
Note: Although Psyche’s default attitude is pleasant and upbeat, any hostility on the part of the Traveler talking to her will result in her losing her temper with them and ejecting them directly out of the conversation space.
